Hi, friends!
I’m Alex Paige, an elopement & wedding photographer on the North Carolina coast
Where it all began
My adventure in photography started with a trip to Ireland. When my husband and I visited in 2019, I went with the dream of being a travel and landscape photographer, and I returned to the states fired up and ready to seek new creative adventures. I spent the next four years capturing unique love stories in some beautiful places like San Diego, Charleston, Portugal, and Spain, all while being based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Around 2022, my husband and I were ready to return to a life of salty air and be near the hum of the waves, and we moved to Wilmington, NC in 2023. We love chasing the waves, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time with our friends and our fur babies.
It’s an incredible joy to continue living this dream of mine as a destination photographer meeting new couples and families, and creating a fun, authentic, and uniquely personal photo experience for them to tell and capture special moments in their story.
Every moment is fleeting
One thing I’ve learned over the years of photographing people, is that each moment is fleeting. The baby in mama’s belly kicking for the first time, the moment you say “yes” to your forever, or seeing your loved one coming down the aisle. Your facial expression, that joy & wonder, that hug, all are worth remembering & documenting to look back on & to experience that joy again.
I’ve always loved traveling and taking photos of the beautiful places and things I come across. This photo was from a trip to Porto, Portugal, overlooking the wine vineyards. It was definitely a core memory for me.
Here are some things that you may or may not know from following me on social media:
I love Jesus
Baking is my other passion & sourdough is my specialty
I’m currently a fall girl
Beach over mountains but the beauty of both is overwhelming sometimes
Ireland is my favorite vacation spot next to Portugal
I am just as enthusiastic as I type (!!!) but can be an introverted extrovert
